Kapuso A-list actress Bea Alonzo admitted that she had a misconception about his stepfather.

Bea’s has been open about her personal life to her. She is generous enough to share glimpses of her life behind the camera. In a recent interview, on My Mother, My Story, the actress shared with King of Talk Boy Abunda her mother’s life and their relationship.

It is known to many that Bea has a good relationship with her stepdad Dondon. However, the actress admitted that initially, she did not like him.

The actress shared that she saw her mom Mary Ann come from a toxic relationship. When her mom introduced a new boyfriend, she was against it. That pushed Bea to move out of their house. She and her mom did not talk to each other for months.

When they would see each other during family gatherings, Bea Alonzo said that she would ignore her stepdad. However, she said, “Now, I feel ashamed about it.”

She also said that her stepdad is the best thing that ever happened to their family because he was like a glue who bonded them all together.

When asked how her perception changed, Bea shared that it was because Dondon proved himself to her and to her brother.

His father really showed them that he is a good person and that he loves their mom. Bea also recalled that when she left their home, she did not support her mother financially. With that, her mom and her stepdad lived a modest life on their own. This lasted for a year or more.

Bea Alonzo said that during that time, she was young and immature and she thought that her stepdad would just take advantage of them because she is a celebrity. “But he was really able to prove it to us, how much he loves my mom,” the actress said.

In the same interview, Bea also shared that even though she became a breadwinner, her dynamics with her mom remained the same. In their house, Mary Ann is still the mom.
