Naglabas na ng opsiyal na pahayag ang legal counsel ni Sandro Muhlach na si Atty. Czarina Quintanilla-Raz ng Puno Law Office kaugnay ng desisyon ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na pormal na sampahan ng mga kaso sina Jojo Nones at Richard Cruz.

Sina Nones at Cruz ang mga akusado sa mga kasong rape through sexual assault at acts of lasciviousness na isinampa ni Sandro.

Ipinagbunyi ng kampo ni Sandro ang desisyon ng DOJ na pormal nang kasuhan sina Nones at Cruz.

Sa kabila umano ng pagbabago sa katotohanan, panlilinlang sa publiko, at pagkakastigo kay Sandro, palagi raw mananaig ang katotohanan.

Na-reinforce daw ang paniniwala nila sa justice system matapos mapatunayan ng DOJ, base sa mga isinumiteng ebidensiya, na may “reasonable certainty of conviction” upang sampahan sina Nones at Cruz ng mga krimeng “rape through sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness.”

Patuloy rin daw ang pakikipaglaban nila para kay Sandro at nananalig silang pagbabayaran ng mga akusado ang kanilang ginawa.

Umaasa rin daw sila na ang katapangang ipinakita ni Sandro ay maging inspirasyon sa ibang mga biktimang kagaya niya. Panahon na raw upang tanggalin ang “hard truth” na ang mga kalalakihan ay maaari ring maging biktima ng rape.

SANDRO MUHLACH URGES GMA NETWORK TO ISSUE ITS RESOLUTION

Samantala, inuudyok din ng kampo ni Sandro ang GMA Network, ang home network ng baguhang aktor, na maglabas na rin ng resolusyon nito sa reklamo ni Sandro laban kina Nones at Cruz. Hanggang ngayon ay pending pa rin daw ito.

Nananalig silang tutuparin ng GMA Network ang commitment nito na ang imbestigasyon laban kina Nones at Cruz ay isinasagawa “with the highest standards of fairness and impartiality.”

Kung ang DOJ ay napatunayang nakagawa ng krimeng “rape through sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness” laban kay Sandro ang mga akusado, marapat lang daw na tanggalin sina Nones at Cruz sa kanilang mga trabaho sa GMA Network “in order to maintain a safe and respectful environment for its artists.”

SANDRO MUHLACH LEGAL COUNSEL FULL STATEMENT

Ito ang kabuuan ng pahayag ni Atty. Raz na ipinadala niya sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ngayong Huwebes ng umaga, Oktubre 31, 2024.

“Today, we are one step closer to our pursuit of justice for Sandro. Despite the relentless efforts to distort the facts, mislead the public, and even castigate Sandro, the truth always prevails.

“The Department of Justice’s finding of prima facie evidence with reasonable certainty of conviction to charge Respondents Jojo Tawasil Nones and Richard Dode Cruz for the crimes of rape through sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness reinforces our belief in the justice system and the rule of law.

“We will continue our fight for Sandro and we have faith that our justice system will uphold the truth, honor Sandro’s courage, and hold his perpetrators accountable for their atrocities.

“We hope that Sandro’s bravery will inspire other victims like him. Indeed, it is time that we all acknowledge the hard reality that even men can be victims of rape.

“At this point, we also urge GMA Network, Inc. to issue its resolution on the complaint of Sandro against Mr. Cruz and Mr. Nones which, to date, is still pending.

“We trust that GMA Network, Inc. will honor its commitment that the investigation against Mr. Nones and Mr. Cruz is being conducted with ‘the highest standards of fairness and impartiality.’

“If no less than the Department of Justice found that Mr. Nones and Mr. Cruz committed the crimes of rape through sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness against Sandro, with more reason should GMA remove Mr. Nones and Mr. Cruz from the GMA workplace in order to maintain a safe and respectful environment for its artists.”
