Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks Against Marcos Family Anew

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President accused the Marcos family of allegedly being the one responsible over the death of the late former Senator Ninoy Aquino.



The feud between Vice Pres. Duterte and Pres. Marcos is seemingly getting deeper and deeper. The former has not stepped back on making accusations against the latter and his family. Recently, she also aired a statement that seemingly sparked threats on the lives of the Marcoses.

The statement of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte that sparked threats on the lives of Pres. Bongbong Marcos and First Lady Liza Marcos, as well as House Speaker Martin Romualdez’s, did not sit well with a lot of people. Many Filipinos called for the Vice President to be checked.

A legal expert also said that Vice Pres. Duterte could face disbarment over her accusations against the Marcoses. The Vice President also accused First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos that she is allegedly the one behind the giving of cash-filled envelopes to the officials of the Department of Education (DepEd).

Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that the First Lady is allegedly giving away the money of the people although she has no position in the government. The First Lady is mum on the accusation of the Vice President.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte made an accusation anew against the Marcoses. Based on a report on GMA News, the Vice President claimed that the Marcos family is allegedly behind the death of the late former Sen. Ninoy Aquino in 1983.

The Vice President made the remark when she was asked about her side on the statement of Pres. Bongbong Marcos that he would block threats to his life. Marcos released a statement amid the tirades of Duterte against him.

The late former Senator Ninoy Aquino was shot at the then-Manila International Airport upon his arrival on August 21, 1983. Then, the country was led by then-President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

The death of Aquino sparked protest from the people which led to the People Power Revolution which is commemorated annually until now. The Philippines was under Marcos Martial Law from 1972 to 1981 but he continued in power until 1986 when he was ousted from office.

The bereaved wife of the late former Senator Ninoy Aquino sat on the presidential post following the ouster of Marcos Sr. The death of Ninoy Aquino is surrounded by several issues until now on who really was the person behind it.
