PBBM dismayado sa sinabi ni VP Sara na hindi sila magkaibigan: I was deceived

TILA napaasa ni Vice President Sara Duterte si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos pagdating sa kanilang “friendship.”

Ito ang inamin mismo ng pangulo matapos siyang ma-ambush interview ng ilang reporters sa naganap na Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) sa bansang Laos.

Hiningan kasi siya ng reaksyon patungkol sa sinabi ni Duterte last month na hindi sila magkaibigan ni Mr. Marcos sa kabila ng pagtakbo nila nang magkasama sa 2022 elections bilang “Uniteam.”

Maaalalang ang sinabi ni VP Sara: “Hindi kami magkaibigan unang-una, nagkakilala lang kami dahil mag-running mate kami…Nagkausap lang kami during campaign at saka sa trabaho noon.

“Ang kaibigan ko talaga si Senator Imee Marcos, kilala niya ako since 2012. Noong nag-tender ako ng resignation, ‘yun ‘yung last na nagkausap kami ni President Marcos.”

Sey naman diyan ni Pangulong Bongbong, “I don’t know anymore. I’m not quite sure I understand.”

“I’m a little dismayed that she doesn’t think that we are friends. I always thought that we were,” pag-amin niya sa reporters.

Aniya pa, “But maybe I was deceived.”

Bago pa umalis ang presidente, ang itinalaga niyang “caretaker” ng bansa ay sina Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla at Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III.

Ayon kay Pangulong Bongbong, hindi siya nagbilin sa bise presidente dahil hindi na ito parte ng kanyang administrasyon.

“She’s still the Vice President, but she’s not part of the administration anymore,” sambit niya.

Paliwanag niya, “She’s still the Vice President, but she left the administration, [she’s] not part of the day-to-day running that we’re doing so it would be unfair to ask her and to impose this duty on her since it’s not part of her duty now.”
