Fans recalled Kris Aquino’s past interview with Barbie Hsu

Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu had an interview in the past on the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino’s show where she shared what she wanted to be when she reached 50 years old.

Barbie rose to fame in the Philippines because of her series Meteor Garden with Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu. Her character Shan Cai was well-loved by many Pinoys. The series became part of the daily afternoon routine of many households in the Philippines.

This was the reason why many Filipinos were saddened when sad news broke out on February 3. Barbie’s sister, Dee Hsu, confirmed that the actress passed away while having a vacation with her family in Japan.

In 2003, Kris Aquino interviewed Barbie and Dee Hsu. One of the questions that the Queen of Talk asked the Hsu sisters was how they pictured themselves 50 years from now.

Dee answered that she wanted to be a happy woman and that she and her husband would be grandma and granddad. When Kris asked her if she wanted to establish her own business, Dee jokingly said that she wanted “to be a lazy but rich girl.”

Then, when Barbie answered the question, she said, “I want to be shopping queen.” At that time, she was just 27 years old. “At 50, do you think you’ll still be in show business or you’ll be retiring already?” Kris asked Barbie.

The Taiwanese star said that she would like to be a grandmother and have many children. Barbie Hsu died at the age of 48.
