Sanya Lopez revealed that she felt sad over the breakup of her older brother, Jak Roberto, and her good friend, Barbie Forteza, earlier this year. The Kapuso actress shared her thoughts about their breakup in an interview with GMA News.

Barbie and Jak had dated for a little over seven years prior to parting ways earlier this year. The two didn’t cite any reason for their breakup leaving their loyal fans clueless on what happened.

Sanya admitted that she hasn’t talked to the former couple since the announcement of their breakup. While she remained sad that their relationship ended, she maintained that she can’t do anything about it but be supportive towards the two of them.

“Of course, masakit din for me na ‘aww di pala sila yung nag end up together’ pero I respect their decision kasi sila yun eh. Nandito lang ako to support both of them,” she shared.

Previously, Barbie took it to her Instagram account to publicly share that they decided to part ways.

“Thank you for loving me the way you did. I am excited for what’s to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve,” Barbie previously wrote.

In the same interview, Sanya revealed that she is currently seeing someone. She didn’t disclose anymore details of her dating life but assured everyone that she’s happy where she’s at right now.

“Dating lang po… Not yet taken, still single. I’m happy now, I’m just enjoying my life,” she added.

Meanwhile, she expressed how happy she was for her older brother who recently gave a glimpse of his new house. She recalled seeing his house in person and being emotional as they’re living on their own now.

“Nadaanan ko siya, first time ko makita at nakakaiyak. Nakakaproud for him na finally you have your own houses and lahat ng pinaghirapan niya ang cute lang. Ang ganda kasi parang dati nakikibahay lang kami nakikitira lang kami tapos now meron na siyang sarili niya, I have my own na kasi,” she shared.
