Direk Darryl was criticized for his effort to re-tell the story of Pepsi Paloma while he was also praised by other people for his bravery even though this led to a legal battle with veteran comedian-host Vic Sotto.

It is because the r@pe case filed by Pepsi against Vic, which she eventually withdrew, was recalled.

In a recent vlog of seasoned broadcaster Julius Babao, he interviewed the other Softdrink Beauties Sarsi, Coca, and Myra. He mentioned Direk Darryl’s post saying that Pepsi and Coca were never close.

Coca contradicted the director’s claim. She said that she was the closest to Pepsi because they stayed in one house when they were working.

When asked about Pepsi’s attitude when they were together, they said that the late actress was really a loner and moody. They also mentioned that Pepsi really had su!cidal tendencies.

Then, the Softdrink Beauties revealed the relationship that Pepsi had with her mother. They said that Pepsi and her mother were not okay. The former actresses also stressed that they knew more about Pepsi than her mother because the latter was not visible in her life, especially during her showbiz days.

“Never naging visible yung presence nung nanay niya during the shooting, during the promotion of the movie, wala hindi mo talaga mararamdaman,” Myra said. This was different for them because their mothers were there supporting them when they were in showbiz.

Sarsi added that Pepsi never liked going home to their house in Olongapo. They also said that Pepsi Paloma was vocal about her conflict with her mother.
