Jam Villanueva Reflects on Forgiveness Amid Controversy

JAM VILLANUEVA – The ex-girlfriend of Anthony Jennings caught netizens’ attention with a reflective social media post about forgiveness. This came a week after Maris Racal and Anthony publicly addressed the viral screenshots involving them.



On TikTok, Jam reposted a video from motivational speaker Jay Shetty discussing the power of self-forgiveness. In the video, Shetty encouraged people to forgive themselves for allowing others to take them for granted, prioritizing someone who treated them as an option, and giving their best despite receiving less in return.

As of now, Jam has not directly addressed Maris and Anthony’s recent statements. The controversy began when Jam released screenshots suggesting a close connection between the two while she was still in a relationship with Anthony.

Explaining her decision, Jam said she came forward to protect herself and her loved ones from online criticism. “It’s painful to be attacked by others when all I ever wanted was to protect my personal life — and protect [Anthony] out of respect,” she shared.

Despite noticing warning signs, Jam initially chose to support Anthony and Maris professionally. “When Maris came into the picture, I was genuinely happy for you both, I even chose to be supportive, despite the red flags I couldn’t ignore…I respected your craft. I believed in you both. But betrayal like this cuts deep,” she added.

On December 6, Maris and Anthony addressed the issue publicly. Maris admitted feeling emotionally vulnerable during her growing friendship with Anthony but clarified she was unaware he and Jam were still together. She explained that she repeatedly asked Anthony about his relationship status, trusting his claim that he was single. Anthony took full responsibility, offering a sincere apology to both women for his actions.

Jam and Anthony had been in a relationship for seven years before ending things earlier this year. While the situation captured public interest, Jam’s recent post seemed introspective, focusing on healing and moving forward.
