Neri Naig Miranda, widely known as the “Wais na Misis,” actress, entrepreneur, and wife of Parokya Ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, was reportedly arrested by Pasay City police on November 23.

The news was revealed by showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz on his online entertainment program.

According to Diaz, Neri allegedly violated Section 28 of Republic Act No. 8799, or the Securities Regulation Code. The provision regulates the registration of brokers, dealers, salespersons, and associated professionals engaged in securities trading.

While Diaz said he received the information from a reliable tip, he clarified that details surrounding the alleged violation remain unclear. The showbiz reporter also emphasized that his platform is open to sharing Neri’s side of the story if she chooses to respond.
