Here’s an interview with Jam Ignacio following the beating incident.

Controversial personality Jam Ignacio made this statement after he was accused by DJ Jellie Aw of beating her inside a car.

DJ Jellie formally filed a complaint previously against businessman Jam Ignacio after the latter beat her inside a car because of jealousy. She is firm in sending him to jail for what he did to her that almost killed her.

He may face charges of physical abuse under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 and the authorities are pursuing him after he escaped the scene. He left the club DJ with busted lips, a swollen eye, and multiple cuts and bruises, and on top of these, the trauma she has to suffer from physically, mentally, and emotionally.

In an interview with GMA, Ignacio finally surfaced with a statement about the incident. According to him, he is not in hiding and despite what happened, he still wants their marriage to be pushed through. To recall, they got engaged last year and a few months after the announcement, the assault happened.

He is remorseful for what he did and expresses an apology.

“Sa mga kapatid, sa mga kaibigan, dito ako haharap sa inyo. Humaharap na humihingi ng taos puso na sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sobrang sorry lalo na sa family ni Jellie,” he said.

Addressing Jellie’s mother, he said, “Ma, sorry, Ma. Alam niya yan na mahal na mahal ko si Jellie.”

According to him, it all started with a simple argument, and with other factors that contributed to the heated situation, things escalated. He said, “Kumbaga, tao lang din naman siguro ako. Kumbaga baka napuno lang din ako na hindi ko sinasabi na tama pero hindi ko para i-tolerate na gawin ulit.”

He also wanted to apologize to the people close to them who got hurt for what had happened.

In a message to Jellie, he stated, “Hon, alam mo yan kung gaano kita kamahal. Alam mo yan kung gano kita protektahan, bantayan sa lahat ng ginagawa mo lagi akong naka-suporta sa’yo. Sa lahat ng gusto mong gawin sa buhay, naka-suporta ako palagi sa’yo. Sorry sa mga nangyari. Pinapangako ko sa’yo na hindi na mauulit ‘to. Sana bigyan mo ng pagkakataon na ayusin natin to pareho ng pribado na sa’ting dalawa…”

He added that she knows how much they love each other, the countless things they want to do together, and the dreams they want to achieve.
