Bianca Manalo addresses controversy with Rob Gomez

Bianca Manalo has broken her silence about the controversy surrounding her and her “Magandang Dilag” co-star Rob Gomez.

In an Instagram statement, the actress and former beauty queen addressed the screenshots making the rounds online, which insinuated that Bianca and Rob were involved in an affair.

“Let me clear all the false rumors circulating on the internet,” she wrote. “Rob Gomez and I are friends and co-workers. He was going to bring Christmas gifts and I wanted to receive them early before I leave for the airport.”

She added that the screenshots posted had missing parts of their conversations.

“It is upsetting that our conversations were exposed without my consent, which is a breach of privacy and the cause of so much online bashing,” Bianca said. “It is obvious that parts of our conversation were deleted to create malicious insinuations.”

The actress added that the accusations were hurting her and her loved ones.

“Let this controversy end so I can enjoy the rest of my time in Japan with my family,” she said.

She ended her post by saying, “Let us spread love and the truth this holiday season. Merry Christmas, everyone.”

Bianca is in a relationship with former Valenzuela District 1 Representative and current Senator Win Gatchalian. Rob is currently fixing his relationship with former partner and beauty queen Shaila Rebortera, with whom he has a daughter named Amelia.

“Magandang Dilag” star Herlene Budol is also involved in the controversy and said on X (formerly Twitter), “Bakit ako nakaladkad?”

Herlene added, “Pag dedicated ka sa trabaho, gagawan ka ng issue!”

The controversy began with Rob’s interview with “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” where he said he is single but that he is courting someone.

While he was linked to Herlene, Shaila revealed that she and Rob are together and have a daughter.

Rob has since apologized for saying that he is single. He told Shaila and Amelia in an Instagram post, “You are not an option for me to lose. I can’t wait to have you both back in my arms.”

Meanwhile, Rob exclusively told Pep that his phone was taken and used without his consent.

“Worse is that the person who took my phone posted pictures of mine in my own social media account pretending that I posted it with the intention of destroying my reputation,” he said.

“The videos as shown were among my friends and co-stars who was trying to cheer me up when I was going through a lot of hurdles in my life,” he added.
