Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte Gives Message for Vice Pres. Sara Duterte

RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE – The former President wants his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, to leave politics as fast as she can.

Undeniably, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is currently faced with a lot of issues. The chief accountant of the Department of Education (DepEd) claimed that she received envelopes with cash from Duterte during the Vice President’s term as the education secretary.

Duterte resigned from being the DepEd secretary in June. It triggered the speculations that her relationship with Pres. Bongbong Marcos has turned sour. The two (2) government officials were running-mates during the 2022 Elections.

The public witnessed further the souring relationship between the President and the Vice President through the fiery tirades of Duterte against Marcos Jr. According to Vice Pres. Duterte, he does not know how to be a president.

Aside from the souring relationship with the president, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is also being urged by the House of Representatives to account the P112.5 million confidential funds of DepEd during her term.

The House is also conducting hearings over the use of funds of the Office of the Vice President. Out of the P2 billion budget proposal of the OVP for 2025, the House approved a P733 million budget for Duterte’s office.

Amid Vice Pres. Sara Duterte being involved in several issues, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte expressed his desire for his daughter to get out from politics. Based on a report on GMA News, he even want it to happen the soonest time possible.

“Si Inday, pasalamat ka na lang sa Diyos na ang tatay mo naging Presidente, ikaw naging Vice President. Bihirang-bihira yan, bihira sa isang pamilya. Hindi lahat ng pamilya sa Pilipinas… pasalamat na lang tayo. Now, as fast as you can, get out of politics,” the former President said.

Previously, Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that she warned Senator Imee Marcos that she will exhume the body of Marcos Sr. and throw it into the West Philippine Sea if the alleged attacks against her will not stop. Pres. Bongbong Marcos was asked about Duterte’s threat against his late father’s remains.
