Actress Sunshine Cruz allegedly returned this expensive gift from wealthy businessman Atong Ang.
Rumors linking Sunshine and Atong surfaced last year. It was speculated that the businessman was courting the actress. In December 2024, the kissing video of Sunshine and Atong circulated on social media and the online community talked about this.
After that, Atong confirmed that he and Sunshine started dating. Then, more sweet photos and videos of them surfaced online. Amid the talks about their romance, the actress was accused of being a gold-digger.
Sunshine was apparently unbothered by the negative comments about her. Speaking about her relationship with Atong, she said that she has nothing to explain to the public.
The actress and the businessman continued being sweet with each other despite the negative comments. They even attended a wedding together as “ninong” and “ninang.”
Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment writer Salve Asis recently shared in her article that Atong Ang is so in love with Sunshine Cruz. It was said that the actress is not “abusado” and she would not easily accept material gifts from the businessman.
“Like pinadalhan daw ito ng isang luxury car ng negosyante, pero pinasoli diumano ng actress,” Asis shared. The entertainment writer also said that this is how Sunshine is and that the actress is just low-key when she is with the friends of the businessman.
Meanwhile, Sunshine and her relationship with Atong received support from her ex-husband Cesar Montano. The award-winning actor said that his ex-wife deserves to be happy because this will also make their three daughters very happy.
Sunshine also got the support from actress Ruffa Gutierrez, one of her closest friends in the entertainment industry. Ruffa shared her thoughts on the “intriga” between Sunshine and Atong.
