Vanness Wu, a famous Taiwanese actor and singer, just broke the hearts of Meteor Garden fans as he penned a tribute for Barbie Hsu.

On Friday, February 7, Vanness took to his official Instagram page to upload a photo of the name ‘Barbie’ accompanied by a sad note.

In his post, Vanness thanked the late Taiwanese star for her ‘kindness throughout the years’ and recalled when they first met as well.

“Big Smile, Big Heart, Big Laugh, Big Love… Big S. Thank you for all your kindness throughout the years, especially from when we first met… Miss you dearly, Barbie. Rest in Love,” Vanness wrote.

It is worth noting that Vanness played the role of ‘Mei Zuo’ in the 2001 hit series, one of the members of Dao Ming Si’s famous F4.

Previously, fans of the show were stunned when Dee Hsu confirmed the passing of her sister.

Barbie, who passed at the age of 48, flew to Japan with her family for the Lunar New Year, where she eventually got influenza afterward.

The Taiwanese star who went by ‘Big S’ online, leaves behind two children named, Hsu Yueh and Hsi Lin from her ex-husband of 10 years.

It is worth recalling that Barbie’s divorce from her ex-husband made several headlines back then.

News about their ‘ugly split’ eventually died down when both parties moved on with different partners, with Barbie marrying DJ Koo.

DJ Koo, or Koo Jun Yup, has also stirred online buzz lately after writing a lengthy message on Instagram about his wife’s sudden death.

Earlier, on X, Yoko penned a heartfelt message to Barbie who played ‘Shan Cai.’ According to Yoko, she is very ‘saddened’ by the news. It is worth noting that ‘Meteor Garden’ is the first live TV adaptation of Yoko’s manga.

Meanwhile, John Lapus posted about Barbie Hsu following the ‘Meteor Garden’ actress’s shocking death. On X, formerly Twitter, the famous Filipino comedian-director recalled his meeting with the iconic Taiwanese actress. It can be recalled that Barbie Hsu visited the Philippines in 2003 for her concert, and Lapus was the front act for that event.
