What would you do if you crossed paths with your ex-boyfriend and his wife? For Karylle Padilla, she kept it cool, casual and polite.
While taking on her judging duties for the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” segment in the noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” yesterday, her friend and co-host Vice Ganda did all the spilling for her, telling the audience about Padilla’s supposed encounter with the couple.
It all started as Vice Ganda, a contestant and another host Jhong Hilario had a conversation about heartbreak. The contestant revealed that his ex-girlfriend recently got married; this instantly became the topic of the trio’s conversation.
Hilario asked Vice Ganda what he would do if he were in the same situation: would he be willing to sing at his ex’s wedding? The comedian answered, “Parang hindi ko pa rin kaya eh. Kung kakanta man ako doon, mabu-bwisit ako dun.” (I think I still could not handle it. If I would sing at their wedding, it will just annoy me.)
Next, Hilario asked if Vice Ganda would be happy anyway, especially if he already found a partner too. This was when Vice Ganda turned to Padilla, “‘ I can’t do it. Let’s ask Karylle because she and Dingdong [Dantes] met the other day. (I can’t. Let’s just ask Karylle because she saw Dingdong days ago.)
Vice revealed that Padilla encountered her ex-boyfriend and his wife, Marian Rivera, at a “show.” The comedian said Padilla was so moved by Rivera’s beauty.
” Then when he turned back, he realized that their hearts were really at peace, because they kissed and Marian said he was beautiful,” he added. (Then when she turned her back, she realized that their hearts were already indeed at peace, because they greeted each other and she was so enamored by Marian’s beauty.)
But the comedian just couldn’t keep himself from being naughty as he then said, ” He kissed Marian but he didn’t tell if he kissed Dingdong!” (She greeted Marian but she never told me if she greeted Dingdong.)
Padilla answered, saying he greeted Dantes by saying, “Hi!”
Before Dantes and Rivera became the Kapuso Primetime King and Queen, an onscreen team-up that eventually led to romance and marriage, he was with Padilla for three years. They broke up in 2008.
