Kris Aquino gives fans a glimpse of her intimate birthday celebration.
Kris Aquino happily celebrated her 54th birthday on February 14, 2025.

Kris recently returned to social media to share how she celebrated her birthday.

In her Instagram post, Kris showed off some of the highlights of her celebration with her two sons, Josh and Bimby, as well as some close friends

Kris also showed off the many gifts she received, including bouquets of flowers and balloons, care bear plushies, and a space molly collectible toy.

In the caption of the post, Kris sincerely thanked her family and friends who took the time to be with her on her birthday.

She said (published as is), “i want to thank all my friends for taking time to greet me last night (assault) and my friends from OC, who flew in.

“But above all- i thank you for being with me, kuya josh, and bimb during my journey towards recovery.”

DEATH HOAX LAST DECEMBER
Although Kris did not mention it, her latest post seemed to be a response to false news about her.

It was late 2024 when a death hoax spread about the former TV host-actress

Kris’s friend and former entertainment editor Dindo Balares vehemently denied it.

In Balares’ Facebook post on December 22, 2024, she clarified that the information circulating in some chat groups was fake news.

She began her post, “We just finished chatting with Kris Aquino last Sunday when our publicist friend chatted.

“‘Kuya, is it true? I hope it’s not true,’ she messaged me.

“‘Which one?’ I asked.

“‘Someone’s been making a fuss that Kris Aquino is no longer here. I hope it’s not true.’

“‘Where did it come from?’

“‘Someone just said it in a chat group.’

“‘I just talked to her an hour ago.’

“‘Thank you. Hope she’s well and happy. I’ll just continue to pray for her.’

“‘Thank you, ______!’ (I deliberately left out names so no one would bother her about who was in her chat group, he-he….)”

Dindo was alarmed by these speculations, especially since it was said that he and Kris had just spoken that day,

He said, “For Krisy’s followers, be doubly careful with fake news and misinformation. Don’t believe it unless it comes from her family or reliable sources.

“Her treatment and strengthening continues. “In fact, food is our most frequent topic these days.”

Although Dindo has already clarified that Kris is in good health, some netizens still don’t believe it.

Especially since the actress has not shown any signs on social media.

KRIS’ BATTLE WITH AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES
Kris has been battling her health battle for almost three years due to her autoimmune diseases.

On September 12, 2024, Kris returned to the Philippines after spending almost two years in California, USA, for treatment.

On October 20, on Instagram, Kris gave a health update for her worried fans and friends.

Here she announced that she is cancer-free. This was after she feared that she might also have colon cancer, the disease that killed her mother, former President Corazon Aquino.

That same October, Kris shared that she was still concerned about her autoimmune conditions.

It is said that three of his six autoimmune conditions are “life-threatening.”

Part of Kris’ post then (published as is): “The 3 autoimmune conditions are Churg Strauss now known as EGPA (a rare form of vasculitis); Systemic Sclerosis or SCLERODERMA; and LUPUS or SLE, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

“Thank you Dr. Nick my cardiologist for saying my heart is in good shape. But I am hypertensive. Usually my diastolic and heart rate are very elevated. Praying it’s not because of pulmonary hypertension.

“Unfortunately I’m allergic to all steroids, all NSAIDS including Paracetamol (I can take 500 mg total over 24 hours but through IV and after 100 mg of diphenhydramine also via injectable)- I react quickly with oral medicine. When you have autoimmune these are the lst 2 lines of defense.”

KRIS ON LUPUS ARTHRITIS
Kris also mentioned, still based on her October post, that she had difficulty walking because of her Lupus Arthritis.

She said, “I am now suffering from a Lupus Arthritis flare. Deep bone pain.

“It’s hard to walk without assistance. I’ll start my physical rehabilitation therapy in a few days. But I need to do so with a walker.”

In addition, her immune system is also weak, which makes her easily susceptible to coughing.

She said, “My immunity is zero. A cough for me can easily be pneumonia and ICU confinement. Strict rule, no direct even indirect sun exposure or my lupus flares will be triggered as well as my Scleroderma.”
