James Reid Did Not Regret Split With Nadine Lustre; Here’s Why

This is what James Reid said about his past relationship and his perception of love.

JAMES REID – Music artist and actor James Reid has this revelation about his previous romances and why he did not regret anything about them.



JaDine was once among the biggest love teams of the Kapamilya network. They are for reel and real that when they announced their split, many heats got broken. The split was truly heartbreaking to many.

Their story can be traced back to 2013 when Nadine Lustre became James Reid’s leading lady for a music video. The following year, they starred together in Ang Diary ng Panget— a rom-com based on a top-selling book. This was their first film together and this also paved way for their success as individual artists and a love team.

This was later followed by more movies such as Talk Back and You’re Dead (2014), Para sa Hopeless Romantic (2015), and This Time (2016).

In 2016, they announced their relationship at the end of their  Jadine In Love concert. And that was how the #TeamReal was born. However, almost four years after, the two announced through an official statement that they are no longer together.

Speaking about his past relationship including the one he shared with Nadine, James expressed that he did not regret one thing.

Accordingly, all that has happened in the past have made him feel bad but there was not a single regret. It shaped who he is now and he has accepted everything.

Speaking about not having regrets, he said, “It’s not something I want to have in my life, and everything that happened I’ve had to just accept that it happened. And it really shaped who I am. I just don’t want to live with any regret.”

In a report from PEP, he learned a lot about love coming from his own personal experiences. And for him, love is being understood, love is a commitment, and love is a choice.

He’s still learning but what he know is that love is a lot of things and this is the reason why he loves writing about it.
