Anthony describes himself as a laid-back guy who enjoys going with the flow. He loves interactions with people from different walks of life, which is why he still occasionally commutes from his home in Laguna to his work assignments.

He started in showbiz as a commercial model until he was scouted by Star Magic for a go-see. He was around 17 years old at the time. Johnny Manahan aka Mr. M saw his potential instantly and invited him to undergo workshops.

In previous interviews, he disclosed that he initially did not even learn how to read and write as he hadn’t completed his schooling due to his family’s frequent relocations, including a period living in the UK with his British father. Despite the challenges, he had a positive relationship with his dad, who unfortunately passed away a few months ago.

Anthony understands that education should be his top priority, with showbiz being secondary. But he also recognizes the importance of seizing opportunities in showbiz as they come, enabling him to support hi siblings’ education in the meantime. Despite the distance between him and his siblings (who are based in Antipolo), he remains connected with them through video calls even amidst his busy schedule.

At 23, Anthony wishes to explore more projects and push his acting boundaries further. Although pegged into rom-coms due to his role in “Can’t Buy Me Love,” he believes he can excel in drama and thriller genres as well.

Asked the secret to his and Maris’ chemistry as Snoop and Irene in “Can’t Buy Me Love”, Anthony chalked it up to being natural. It helps that they share the same level of humor. He said Maris is also naturally talented, making their bantering scenes effortless. This ease allows them to knit adlibs seamlessly into their scenes.

Even he was surprise when he found out he would be paired with Maris, making him realize that in acting, surprises often yield the best results. Besides, he is highly open to exploring new projects and genres. He’s also open to collaborating with former loveteam partner, Daniela Stranner, who has expressed interest in reuniting with him on a project.
