MANILA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta made it clear that she was not the reason why her reunion movie with her former husband and leading man, Gabby Concepcion, was cancelled.

Cuneta talked about the shelved project with Concepcion in an interview with the entertainment website PEP on Thursday.

“I was not the one, I did not cause the cancellation. Let’s just put it that way,” she said. “Maybe [it’s because of] his schedule, I don’t know.”

“I’d rather not investigate further, baka ma-hurt ako. Huwag na lang!”

It was April this year when Cuneta and Concepcion agreed to postpone their plans for a reunion movie this year.

The last time Cuneta and Concepcion topbilled a film was back in 1992 for “Tayong Dalawa.” Concepcion is the father of Cuneta’s eldest daughter, KC.

Cuneta, currently one of the coaches of “The Voice Teens,” meanwhile shared her excitement over her Star Cinema movie this September with a new leading man.

“By September, I’m shooting my movie with Star Cinema. I can’t announce pa the leading man na naman, pero I promise you maraming matutuwa, maraming kikiligin, maraming sasaya,” she told ABS-CBN News.

“Nasa akin na ‘yung script, matagal na. It’s a very cute story. We had to change to story when we changed the leading man. So parang feeling ko mas excited pa nga ako dito because of the story and ‘yung kasama ko, kilalang kilala ko na,” she added.
