Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino will be playing an overflowing role in the local adaptation of the K-drama “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” which will be exclusively available on Viu starting March 18.

Kim shared that viewers will be able to relate to the Viu original adaptation because it will showcase Filipino culture.

“As proud Pinoys, our writers and everyone involved put in a lot of Filipino touches such as family oriented or the more comedy side. Actually when you watch her side by side, she’s pretty similar [to her Korean counterpart]. But our story is more Filipino and most people can relate to it,” Kim said at the mediacon for the series.

“There’s always pressure whenever you do an adaptation. But what we did was to stick to the script and be true to our culture to show how well we can do it as Filipinos,” Paulo added.

KimPau will also showcase their strong chemistry as their first-ever romcom series is packed with thrills and good vibes as their characters, Secretary Kim (Kim) and Brandon Manansala Castillo or BMC (Paulo).

“This one’s gonna be really different. If you’re looking for something to entertain, amuse, and thrill you, this is the show you should watch. Coming from very heavy and serious characters, I’m happy to be given a chance to play a role like this. It excites,” said Paulo.

Kim further said, “It’s a combination of thrills, romance, family, friendship, about ambition and dreams. After you watch the show, just feel-good. Something to smile about. We promised them that they wouldn’t fail.”

Directed by Chad V. Vidanes, “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” follows the story of the great secretary, Secretary Kim, and her perfect boss, BMC. They gradually discover that they are in love with each other when Secretary Kim suddenly resigns from her position.
