It seems that Jericho Rosales has gained the vote of approval from none other than Janine Gutierrez’s mother, Lotlot de Leon.

The seasoned actress shared that she is happy about how Jericho treats her daughter.

“Jericho is kind. I’ve known him since he was fourteen [years old]. I’ve known that kid for a long time, and I’ve worked with him already,” Lotlot said in an interview with PEP.

The fact that Lotlot and Jericho had previously worked together on the 2004 fantasy soap Spirits allowed her to get to know him better.

But does this mean she approves of the hunky Kapamilya star?

“Actually, I’m happy because I already know him. And I know he’s sincere. He’s genuine with his intentions. He’s not someone who would sugarcoat things or deceive me. He’s not like that,” she said.

She even joked, “I hope Janine says yes to him!”

Despite her approval, Lotlot emphasized that, at the end of the day, the decision still rests with her daughter.

“I mean, if that’s what Janine wants. Of course, I will support my daughter. It’s Jericho’s strategy now. As for me, I’ll just be here,” she said.

If anything, Lotlot revealed that Janine is well aware of her thoughts about the actor.

“But Janine knows that I like Jericho for her. She knows I approve of him. But of course, in the end, it’s her decision,” she said.

Jericho shared last June that he had already begun courting the young actress after they were spotted hanging out with their other friends on several occasions.
