San Miguel Beer’s June Mar Fajardo admitted that the team has been feeling frustrated after suffering a second consecutive defeat in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The latest setback came at the hands of Barangay Ginebra, which handed them a 93-81 loss, fueled by strong performances from the Kings’ Troy Rosario, Stephen Holt, and Justin Brownlee.

In that game, Ginebra built a lead as large as 20 points, thanks to their 36.7% shooting from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, the Beermen struggled offensively, making only 36% of their total field goals (31/86 FGs) and 29.6% of their three-pointers (8/27 FGs).

“Siyempre, nakaka-frustrate dahil ‘di kami maka-shoot eh, ang dami naming mintis eh,” said Fajardo in ABS-CBN News.

“Tapos ang ganda nung depensa [ng Ginebra]. Disiplinado sila sa execution nila.”

With the loss, the Beermen, who already replaced two imports, fell to a 3-4 record.

Despite their inconsistencies, Fajardo remained hopeful they will be able to find their footing.

“Makaka-adjust din kami. Kailangan lang naming mag regroup,” said the 8-time PBA MVP.
