In a new vlog, Ivana Alawi shares her recent bout with a life-threatening condition.

Famous actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi was emotional when she shared her recent encounter with a dangerous health condition.



For Ivana Alawi, after what happened to her that made her stay in the hospital for a long time, this felt like it was her second life now. The recent video she uploaded is different from the good vlogs of Ivana that her followers are used to.

What happened to her?

According to the actress-vlogger, it all started with the condition in her ovaries. She also has a condition called PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and there was this time when she suffered too much pain. Her stomachache became impossible to bear and she noticed the enlargement that made her look like she was pregnant. She even felt it harden over time.

The pain was too much she could not even make a little movement. There was fluid buildup in her stomach that was affecting everything about her from movement to breathing and when everything became a lot to handle, she decided to be in a hospital for treatment.

She was, at first, hesitant to do the treatments as she wanted to bear the pain but as days went by, her condition just got worse. She came to the point where she asked the doctors desperately “butasan niyo na ko” and that was when they did the procedure which was to drain the two-liter fluid inside her body.

However, the treatment did not just stop there as her other organs were also affected. The actress shared she had different doctors for her different organs such as the lungs and heart and doctors for gastro and nepro. She stayed in the hospital for seven days – the first time and the longest time she’d even been there.

If there’s one thing she learned from this experience that felt like it would almost cost her her life, it would have to be about listening to your body. When it comes to health, it is always important to listen to your body, and it’s always better to detect something early than turn a blind eye to it and regret afterward suffering worse complications.
