Jam Villanueva Opens Up on Speaking Out Against Ex Anthony Jennings & Maris Racal

JAM VILLANUEVA – Endorser Jam Villanueva opens up about her decision to speak out against her ex, Anthony Jennings, and Maris Racal, revealing the reasons behind her bold move.

Jamela Villanueva recently opened up about her decision to speak out against her ex-boyfriend, actor Anthony Jennings, and fellow actress Maris Racal regarding allegations of infidelity. In a candid interview with the media, Jamela shared her reasons for coming forward and the challenges she faced in doing so.

During the interview, Jamela revealed that she had already anticipated receiving criticism and backlash from the public. However, she remained firm in her belief that people’s opinions reflect more about themselves than about her. “I think oo naman because at the end of the day, ang opinion ng mga tao ay reflection nila, hindi ako. Whatever they say, kung kilala ko sarili ko, it’s okay,” she stated confidently.

Despite the negative comments she had encountered even before making her revelations, Jamela explained that the tipping point was when her family was dragged into the controversy. This, she felt, was an act of disrespect that she could no longer tolerate. “Kaya ako pumitik noon is because nadamay nila yung family ko which is disrespect na I can’t take,” she explained. The actress emotionally shared that both of her parents had passed away from cancer, leaving her and her younger brother Jhamil, who was a contestant on “Idol Philippines.”

Jamela, who has also built a presence in the music industry with covers available on Spotify and live performances at gigs, spoke about the disturbing threats she received amid the controversy. “I even received death threats like ‘Sana mamatay kayo ng kapatid mo, karma babalik sa’yo’,” she shared, adding that the most painful comments were those attacking her relationship with her late parents. “The hardest part is sinasabi nila is disgrace ako sa parents ko, hinihimog, hinihimas, hinahaplos na daw nila puntod nila.”

Despite the hardships, Jamela expressed her willingness to move forward and find closure. She stated that she is open to settling things amicably with Anthony and Maris and wishes them well. “Ang forgiveness ay hindi naman madaling process pero I’m getting there,” she admitted, highlighting her ongoing journey toward healing and acceptance.

As she embarks on this new chapter in her life, recently becoming an ambassador for a dental clinic, Jamela remains steadfast in her belief in self-worth and resilience, proving that personal strength can rise above public scrutiny and heartache.
