Fans of Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu slammed Star Cinema because of this

Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino shared a cryptic post that garnered comments saying that it has something to do with the announcement of the release of his movie with actress Kim Chiu being delayed.

Paulo and Kim are now known as the KimPau tandem. They first worked together in the series Linlang. Fans loved their onscreen chemistry and this was followed by another big teleserye project, the Pinoy version of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?

Mid-2024, it was announced that the KimPau tandem would star in a film under Star Cinema, the film company of ABS-CBN. This put a big smile on fans’ faces as they are craving for more KimPau projects.

Last December, the trailer for the film My Love Will Make You Disappear was released and the excitement among fans was hyped. The teaser included the announcement of the playdate which was February 12, 2025.

However, a publication material from SM Cinema was recently released saying that the KimPau movie will be released in April this year. This did not sit well with the fans of Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu.

They slammed Star Cinema as they did not like the film company’s decision. Fans’ attack against ABS-CBN’s film outfit was even magnified when netizens noticed that Paulo and Kim unfollowed Star Cinema on Instagram.

Speculations, on the other hand, surfaced that this was just a “gimmick” or part of the promotional efforts for the KimPau tandem.

Amid this issue, Paulo Avelino shared a cryptic post. In his post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he wrote, “Ma-experience nga na hindi tumapos ng pelikula.” The actor included a smiling face with tears of joy emoji.”
