‘Best Theme Song’, nakuha ng Pinoy Adaptation ng ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’ sa 29th Asian Awards

PH’s ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’ wins best theme song at Asian TV Awards

The Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino-led series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” took home the Best Theme Song award at the Asian Television Awards 2024 rites in Indonesia.

On Instagram, the awards body congratulated this year’s winners, which included an art card of the Philippine adaptation series’ track “To Be with You” for Best Theme Song.

“To Be with You” was performed by South Korean artist Kim Won Shik and composed by Hong Jung Su, Lee Jae Kyu, and Lim Yu Jung.

Chiu was also nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the local remake but lost to Charmaine Sheh of “The Queen of News.”

“What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” tells the story of a secretary (Chiu) and a narcissistic boss (Avelino) who fall in love with each other.

Meanwhile, Julia Barretto was also nominated for Best Leading Female in a Digital Series for her role in “Secret Ingredient,” but lost out to Jessica Hsuan of “Kill Sera Sera.”

Aside from the Philippines’ entertainment features, local news and public affairs show PTV News Tonight was recognized for Best News Program against China Global Television Network, TV 18 Broadcast Ltd., Formosa Television, Indigenous People’s Cultural Foundation, Bloomberg, and PT INDOSIAR VISUAL MANDIRI.

Founded in 1996, the Asian Television Awards are Asia’s largest entertainment awards that aim to recognize excellence in programming, production and performance.

The 29th edition of the awarding ceremony was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Nov. 29-30.
