Filipino two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo’s mother, Angelica Yulo, answered some questions regarding the chances of reconciling with her son and Carlos’s partner, Chloe San Jose.

In a press conference held on August 7, Angelika reacted to Carlos’s previous statement asking everyone involved in their feud to move forward and heal, as he had already forgiven his mother.

Although she did not answer directly if she also forgives Carlos, Angelica expressed that the time for them to reconcile will come.

“As of now po, ayon yung kinakapa ko sa puso ko,” she said.

She also answered what Carlos and Chloe can do to patch things up in their relationship with her.

“Ayoko sabihin kung ano yung (kailangan) nilang gawin,” she reacted.

She then insisted that she wants the couple to take the initiative to reunite with their family.

Gusto ko sa kanila mismo manggaling,” she said.

Angelica also said she is not closing her doors on accepting Chloe as her son’s partner.

Besides her dissatisfaction with Carlos’s relationship, Angelica clarified a previous post of hers where she seemingly cheered for another representative in the Olympics instead of her very own son.

Nagulat din ako na 19 years old and first time niya mag-Olympics and yet nakuha niya yung individual all-around (category). Ayun lang po iyon and wala po para sabihin dinegrade ko si Kaloy dahil siya yung pinost ko,” she added.

She also said that she never thought that the particular post might hurt her son, who was also competing in the international sports competition.

Before ending the presscon, Angelica then confirmed that she had already unfriended and blocked her son on social media at the time when their misunderstanding started.

“Yes kasi noong nangyari yung hindi naman pagkakaunawaan, honestly, hindi na ako nagpopost about him,” she said. “Matagal na po ako, even yung last trainings niya po, hindi na po ako nagpopost.”

“Sa Messenger ko siya nakablock. Inunfriend ko siya para, for my peace of mind na rin. Ayaw ko muna kasi siya makita during that time dahil nga sa hindi namin pagkakaunawaan,” she added.

She was also asked if she would unblock Carlos on her social media accounts to give them a chance to patch things up.

“We’ll see,” she said shortly.

Prior to her addressing the issues about their family, Angelica read her “liham ng isang ina (message of a mother)” to Carlos to apologize to him and to put an end to their public feud.

She also expressed her apologies to Carlos and to everyone who had watched her previous interview where she focused on Carlos and Chloe’s relationship instead of giving full support to her son.

Patawad anak,” she remarked.

Yesterday, August 6, Carlos finally addressed the controversies involving his relationship with his mother, including her objection to Carlos and Chloe’s relationship.

Carlos then ended the video giving a message to his Mom, whom he said he had already forgiven.

“Magheal kayo. Magmove on. Napatawad ko na kayo long time ago and pinagpray ko na maging safe kayo palagi and nasa maayos kayong kalagayan diyan lahat,” he extended.
