Heart Evangelista On Losing Her Twins During Fashion Week

By now, we’ve all probably seen BLACKPINK Rosé‘s “toxic till the end” music video and been hit right in the feels by it. It was so good, she had me singing about a toxic relationship when I’d been in a healthy and loving long-term one. But apart from Rosé’s captivating voice (as per ush) and the movie-like MV that I immediately had to rewatch after, her chemistry with her leading man, Evan Mock, was also top-tier. Their chemistry was so giving that Bruno Mars couldn’t help but react, lol!

Who’s Evan Mock, the ex in BLACKPINK Rosé’s music video?

Before we get started, let me preface this by saying wbk that Evan was cute and headed to be the next IT boy ever since his acting debut in the 2021 reboot of Gossip Girl on HBO Max. After a few years and the series’ cancelation after two seasons, Evan is back on our radar again as Rosé’s (former and toxic) MV love interest. ICYDK, Evan is a Filipino-American from Hawaii. He is an actor, model, and skateboarder.

Yes, all feral reactions to him and his magical chemistry with Rosé in the music video are valid and it seems Bruno Mars isn’t taking this too lightly. The hitmaker has been known to have grown closer to the BLACKPINK member after their smashing collaboration, “APT,” which is also a single from Rosé’s new album, Rosie. 

The tension between Rosé and half-Filipinos is so *chef’s kiss* that it got me thinking I have a chance too (I really don’t, I’m delusional.) What’s not really helping my delusion and is actually feeding it, are both Bruno and Evan teasingly playing into the peering fans’ narrative. Cute!

When the music video came out on December 6, Rosé immediately took to Instagram to share glimpses of the shoot’s BTS. Of course, that included some totally adorable shots of her and Evan. This did not make it past Bruno Mars, though because he made sure to comment with his reaction, writing, “Wait a minute!!! Who TF is that???” We’re still deciding if this is giving curious bestie or jealous. Either way, we’re here for it!

And wait, Bruno didn’t stop there! He actually even posted what people assume to be a parinig to Rosé and Evan. Taking to Instagram, he wrote, “So this your new man?” “where’d you meet him, at an all-girls school?” At least there was an attempt made by Bruno to hide it when he added, ” – a short story by Bruno Mars.”

But like us (and many others), it seems that Evan caught on quickly. He retorted with an Instagram story featuring a collage of him and Rosé wearing what seems to be similar school uniform-looking ties, with a caption that reads, “just graduated from [an] all-girls school.”

Wdyt? Was it just witty banter or a teaser to a much deeper lore involving the three? Well, whatever it is, we sure are living for it!
