Netizens expressed their appreciation for Can’t Buy Me Love actor and Kapamilya star Jake Ejercito, who was seen staying with his daughter Ellie and ex-partner Andi Eigenmann during late actress Jaclyn Jose’s wake.
In a post shared by entertainment journalist, Mell Navarro, Jake was spotted with his and Andi’s daughter, Ellie, who was also seen taking part in the solemn placement of the actress’s urn.
The veteran entertainment journalist also posted a photo of the three, which netizens praised.
“Love it Apaka professional ni Andi talaga. Kaya super love it!” a netizen commented in the posted photo.
Another netizen said, “Ganda ng parenting nila condolence po.”
A netizen also expressed appreciation for the actor as he became one of his daughter’s supporters during a trying time.
“Jake Ejercito is one fine gentleman. I’ve seen his empathy towards Andi at this very difficult time and its all bec of his love for his daughter. Dong Jake dong! Know that I appreciate ur every gesture of grace & kindness. ❤️,” the user posted on the social media account X (formerly Twitter).
As per Cosmopolitan, Jake was reportedly one of the first people who visited Jaclyn’s wake with his sister Jerika Ejercito.
The actor also posted a heartwarming message to his daughter’s grandmother to whom he was grateful for the guidance she gave.
“Of her many iconic roles, being a grandmother was one she cherished the most, especially to Ellie,” he said in a post with a photo of Ellie and Jaclyn.
Jake also added, “I surely wouldn’t have survived those early years of fatherhood without your guidance. We rolled with the punches together – anything and everything just for Ellie.”
The Kapamilya actor also noted how he would do his best to make sure that Jaclyn’s granddaughter would be okay despite her lola not being around anymore.
“You’ve left a void in Ellie’s heart that we could only attempt to fill for the rest of our days. But I’ll give it my best shot and make sure she’ll be ok,” he remarked.
He ended his message with: “Maraming salamat sa lahat, tita. You were loved, (e)specially by your Ellie.”
Besides his heartwarming message for the late renowned actress, the actor also shared a conversation he had with the actress, expressing how she treated him like her child.
“Jake na mi miss na kita n sobra. Anak. Pa din ang Turing ko sayo. Sorry sa ig kailangan ko Lang mamili. Mahal kita alam mo yan,” Jaclyn said in the message posted by the actor.
Jake was one of the celebrities who personally paid their respects to the late veteran actress who passed away on Saturday, March 2.
Andi’s paternal brothers, actors Gabby Eigenmann and Sid Lucero, were also at the wake assisting and comforting their sister as she bid farewell to her mom.
Coco Martin, Claudine Barretto, Alden Richards, Christopher De Leon and wife Sandy Andolong, Lorna Tolentino, Tirso Cruz III, Allen Dizon, Amy Austria, Ivana Alawi, and Sylvia Sanchez were also among other stars who visited Jaclyn’s wake and were seen comforting Andi.
