“Thankful for meeting you,” Jerry began.

“In your carefree, childlike years, you always said to treat every day as your last and have a great time. I hope you walk slowly this time. From now on, in another world, there will be no worries, and the years will be peaceful,” he wrote.

His message resonated with fans worldwide, many of whom had long hoped to see a Meteor Garden reunion with the original cast. Now, that long-awaited reunion will remain just a dream.

Meteor Garden Co-Stars Remember Barbie Hsu

Ken Chu, who played Xi Men in Meteor Garden, was the first among F4 to mourn and post about Barbie’s passing. He shared a throwback photo of the show’s original cast, including F4 and Barbie as Shan Cai, as a tribute to their shared cherished memories.

Rainie Yang, who portrayed Xiao You, Shan Cai’s best friend in the series, also took to Instagram to remember Barbie.

“Xiyuan, thank you. I will miss you forever and love you,” Rainie wrote in Chinese, calling Barbie by her real name, Xiyuan.

Barbie Hsu’s Sudden And Unexpected Passing

On February 3, reports confirmed that Barbie had passed away at the age of 48 due to pneumonia. Her sister, Dee Hsu, revealed that Barbie had contracted influenza during their family trip to Japan for the Chinese New Year. The illness worsened into pneumonia, leading to her sudden and tragic passing.

Dee shared her grief in an emotional statement, expressing both sorrow and gratitude for the bond she shared with Barbie.

“I am grateful to have been her sister in this lifetime, to have cared for each other and accompanied each other. I will always be thankful for her and miss her forever. Shan~ Rest in peace! Love you always—together, remember forever,” she wrote.

Barbie is survived by her husband, South Korean singer DJ Koo, whom she married in 2022. She also leaves behind two children from her previous marriage to Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei.
