Jillian Ward gets emotional after revealing her parents separated last year

Jillian Ward became emotional after revealing for the first time that her parents parted ways last year.

In a GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras,” Tuesday, the Star of the New Gen opened up on the personal struggles she faced recently.

“Last year, nag-separate ‘yung parents ko,” she said. “Naging sobrang hirap siya for me honestly.”

Jillian remembered saying in interviews that time that she felt burnt out, but she was more than that: she was emotionally exhausted from what’s going on in her family life.

“May time na naririnig ko ‘yung parents ko nag-uusap sila ng madaling araw bago ako mag-taping. Tapos I have to act like hindi ako naririnig ‘yung mga conversations nila,” she said.

“Kaya po pag pupunta ako ng taping, kaya kong umiyak nang 14 hours a day kasi totoo po ‘yung emotions, ganun. Dun ko po nilalabas kasi sa house hindi ko nilalabas ‘yung iyak ko, ‘yung galit ko,” she addedd.

Jillian also spoke about her love for her mom, with whom she shares a very close relationship.

“Lahat po ng ginagawa ko it’s for her. Well, my dad din and my siblings pero more on my mom, I super love my mama so I hope she’s proud,” she said.

“Kasi po when she was growing up hindi niya na-achieve lahat ng gusto niyang ma-achieve, so gusto ko lahat ng hindi niya na-achieve for herself, ia-achieve ko sa sarili ko for her,” she added.

Jillian is starring in upcoming GMA Prime series “My Ilonggo Girl” with Michael Sager. It will air weekdays starting on Monday at 9:35 p.m. after “Widows’ War.”
