In her Instagram post, Jodi wrote, “I still can’t believe this happened. Yesterday, I had the privilege of presenting my research paper, The Impact of the NADA Protocol (Ear Acudetox) on the Anxiety Level of People Working in Television Production at the Consortium of the South International Faculty Research Conference. Hindi ko inakala na mangyayari ito ever sa buhay ko! 🥹 😱 It felt nerve-wracking but so fulfilling to share my study esp since it is something close to my heart.”

During the conference, the Lavender Fields star admitted that she is committed to learning more about how to find ways to support mental health in the workplace. She wrote, “I had an amazing time learning and interacting with the other presenters too! 👍🏻 Grateful for this opportunity and to everyone who supported me along the way. Here’s to exploring more ways to support mental health and well-being in the workplace. Congratulations to everyone who did a great job with their research and more power to the CotS ✨🤍🙏🏼✨”

One of the most liked comments in Jodi’s post is from her former Be Careful With My Heart co-star Richard Yap who wrote, “Congratulations Jods ❤️.” The two were paired in the 2012 family morning drama where they were known as “Sir Chief” and “Maya.”

In 2021, Jodi got her degree in Psychology at Southville International School and Colleges in 2021 where she was a Dean’s lister. In her graduation post, the talented actress shared how she was able to go back and finish her studies. She wrote, “Success comes to those who want it, and sometimes you have to ask yourself ‘how much do I want this?’ I dreamt of finishing my schooling ever since I entered show business and today, after more than a decade, marks the fulfillment of that dream. In school, whenever I faced a seemingly insurmountable task, I’d always push myself and say, ‘It can be done.’ I knew that God was with me all throughout my college life and I kept holding on to His promise that I can do all things through Him who gave me strength and supplied me with more than I needed according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. God is always faithful to his word.”

Earlier this year, Jodi announced plans to take a break from acting in order to pursue further studies by  enrolling in a master’s program in clinical psychology in 2025. “This year, I’m taking up my master’s degree in clinical psychology,” Jodi shared during a recent interview. When asked why she chose this path, she said, “Kasi naiisip ko, as a human being, parang I can do so much more. Na parang mayroon pang life outside of showbizness. Naisip ko na, oo, I’m an actor, but I can put on another hat.”
