Jervi Wrightson, whom we also dearly call KaladKaren, personally ends the speculations regarding her marriage with England-based husband, Luke Wrightson.

“Ako pa rin po si Mrs. Jervi Wrightson,” she said during her extro spiel for her Frontline Pilipinas segment. Even though it was her extro already, it was actually the cue for her to begin her statement regarding the rumors that she and Luke have broken up already. She also uploaded the clip on her social media platforms.

Earlier this week, some people online noticed the absence of Jervi and Luke’s wedding photos from Jervi’s Instagram feed. They also took note of Luke supposedly going private on IG at the same time.

Jervi remarks on how there’s no perfect marriage. But the time that they have spent together—13 years, she said—has helped them to ride the waves of their long-distance relationship.

“Lilinawin ko lang po ‘yung issue tungkol sa amin ni Luke. Katulad ng ibang married couples, siyempre may misunderstandings, merong challenges at hindi rin po nakakatulong na hindi kami laging magkasama because Luke is working abroad. But for 13 years, sinubok na po kami ng panahon at araw-araw pinipili pa rin po naming mahalin isa’t isa,” Jervi expressed.

The actress-news anchor highlights that everything is okay between her and Luke. “So, kami pa rin po. Wala po kaming problema ni Luke. Masaya po kaming mag-asawa. Katunayan nga, umuwi ng Pilipinas, kararating lang po kaninang tanghali,” she affirmed.

The rumors began when people noticed Jervi’s recent digital activity, interpreting her so-called “cryptic” posts as hints about her widely speculated breakup.

On February 18, Jervi posted a TikTok of herself singing Ariana Grande‘s “We Can’t Be Friends,” with a caption that read, “I saw it coming but I still cried.” The Internet quickly assumed it was about her relationship with Luke.

However, Jervi clarified that it wasn’t that deep. “‘Yung tiniktok ko pong song ni Ariana Grande, ‘yung “We Can’t Be Friends,” feel ko lang siyang i-TikTok ‘nung araw na ‘yun.”

As for the missing wedding pics on Instagram—Jervi discloses that it was temporarily removed for work purposes. “Tapos ‘yung pictures ko naman sa Instagram, inaayos po kasi ng management ‘yung feed ko for work. So parang napag-tagpi-tagpi na lang ng mga netizens ‘yung kwento,” she said.

In her statement, she also pointed out the spread of “fake news,” mentioning that some have spliced her vlogs to create misleading narratives. She ended by highlighting, “I think the moral of the story, we have to be responsible with the content that we receive and consume. Mag-ingat po tayo sa fake news, and ‘di ba, let’s mind our own business. Charot!”
