Paolo Contis admitted getting terrified over the possibility of being hated on by his estranged children with ex-partners Lian Paz and LJ Reyes.

The Kapuso actor spoke up about his relationship with his daughters Xonia, Xalene, and Summer, during an interview on the Friday episode Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, revealing he had no communication with them for years now.

“The last time I saw my Xonia and Xalene, mga six or seven years ago when we went to Cebu. And then naputol na naman,” Paolo referred to his teenage daughters with Lian.

“Kay Summer, magtu-two years ko na siyang hindi nakakausap,” Paolo said of his three-year-old child with LJ.

The actor said he already reached out to LJ, but is still seeking his forgiveness. The ex-couple made headlines in 2021 following their separation that prompted LJ to fly to New York with Summer and Aki, her son with Paolo Avelino.

“I reached out though, I tried to reach out. But as I always say, forgiveness takes time, healing takes time, and I’m giving that to LJ,” said Paolo as quoted in a GMA report.

Host Boy Abunda then asked if he fears getting rejected by his children in the future.

“Takot na takot,” Paolo responded.

“‘Yung sa dalawa (Xonia and Xalene) ko gusto kong bumawi. ‘Yung kay Summer biglaan kasi.Lahat silang tatlo mahal ko siyempre.”

The actor turned emotional as he expressed gratitude to Lian and her fiance John Cabahug for taking care of his kids.

“I would like to take this opportunity to tell Lian and John. Thank you for doing a great job sa mga bata…Doon suwerte ako, kasi mabait ‘yung John eh,” said Paolo.

The actor then reiterated his love for his children, saying he’s okay with eventually becoming “civil” with them, but fears it if there comes a time that he would be hated on by his kids.

“Kung pag-uusapan ang love, sobrang love ko sila. Pero you know, feeling ko reality lang. Hindi naman na sa akin lumaki, especially si Xonia and Xalene. So para ma-hate nila ako, ‘yun ang pinaka-fear ko.

“To be honest, nasa stage ako na maging magkaibigan lang tayo eventually. Civil lang. Huwag lang galit.

“Hopefully it will come, maybe, I have no idea. Pero, that’s my biggest fear, is for them to actually hate me.”

Paolo is currently speculated to be dating actress Yen Santos.
