Jessy Mendiola Gets COVID-19 While Pregnant: ‘Hoping it won’t affect my baby’

Jessy Mendiola revealed that she recently went through a sad time while pregnant.



In a vlog on her YouTube channel, the actress shared that she actually got infected with COVID-19 in the fifth month of her pregnancy.

Kung ako lang ‘to, rock n’ roll lang akoe, okay lang,” Jessy said. “But siyempre I have a baby inside of me, inside my womb. Just hoping that I don’t affect the baby.”

“Mommy’s still fighting,” she added. “I love you, my Peanut.”

Throughout the vlog, Jessy shared how her symptoms progressed, from a mild sore throat and a mild cold, to cough, cold, fever, and body pain.

“Finally! Oh my gosh. I’m negative!” Jessy exclaimed on her 10th day. She did a repeat test the following day just to be sure.

Jessy and Luis first announced that they were expecting in August 2022. In the same month, they revealed that they’re having a baby girl.
