Kris Aquino did not hold back in her post criticizing James Yap for suggesting that she’s been denying him time with their son, Bimby

She’s set to make her big screen comeback in a new movie, her first with Star Cinema since 2015’s “All You Need Is Pag-ibig.”

But even before she dusts off her acting chops, Kris Aquino has found herself in the middle of some real-life drama.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, she lashed out at her former husband, basketball player James Yap, for suggesting that she’s been keeping their son, Bimby, away from him.

Breaking her “silence,” she lambasted Yap for his “half-truths and hypocrisy” after the Rain or Shine star said that he misses his son and told him for his birthday: “I’m always here for you.”

“I am ready to be bashed for washing our dirty laundry,” Aquino wrote, but added that she “needed” to make a stand for the truth.

She brought up an incident when Yap supposedly used Bimby for “publicity” for the opening of his bar, and an interview in which he “faked” his emotions over being denied time with their son.

She also criticized Yap for not paying his share of Bimby’s tuition, and wondered about why he did not speak up when their son was being bashed for being “baklain.”

“Nanahimik pa rin ako about that,” she claimed. “Eh humirit ka with your birthday post.”

“So bakit nga ba hindi kayo nagkikita? Ganito ka simple — wala ka nang pakinabang kay Bimb. Wala na kasi kaming ‘power’ so bakit ka pa didikit? Madali kung gusto mo,” she said.

Citing examples, Aquino said that Yap’s sibling is able to keep in touch with their helper, and that her sisters, Ballsy and Pinky, are still close with a family “he considers his own” in Iloilo.

“You are missing out on experiencing what a caring, generous, polite and lovable boy Bimb is — and it is your LOSS,” she said.

Aquino’s post came a day after Yap shared on Instagram a photo of him with Bimby, writing: “Happy birthday Bimb! I miss you and think about you every day.”

“Alam ko na ang tagal na nating di nakapag-spend ng time together at di nagkikita, but I want you to know that I’m always here for you. I will always be your papa.”

At the sidelines of her contract signing with Star Cinema this Friday afternoon, Aquino was asked about her scathing post.

She told reporters: “I think that I’ve said everything that I needed to say. I just felt that I had to speak my truth on behalf of my son. I just feel that if somebody has political ambitions, huwag gamitin ang anak ko to cleanse himself.”
