Yasmien Kurdi, whose daughter Ayesha was allegedly bullied in school, disclosed that she will be having a conversation with Department of Education (DepEd) secretary Sonny Angara to discuss possible solutions to bullying.
The celebrity mom shared this through her Instagram Stories on Monday, Dec. 16. She also expressed her gratitude to fellow parents who reached out to her after she publicly spoke about how her daughter has been allegedly enduring bullying from her classmates for years.
“Your bravery in opening up means so much to me, and it’s a reminder of the challenges so many families are facing,” she said. “Hearing your experiences has truly touched my heart. I want you to know that your voices are being heard.”
Kurdi then urged parents to unite for their children and “make a difference.”
“This Thursday, I’ll be meeting with the Secretary of the Department of Education Sonny Angara to discuss potential solutions and strategies we can implement to address bullying in our schools,” she stated.
“Your stories will guide this important conversation, and I promise to use my platform to advocate for meaningful change,” she vowed. “Together we can shine a light on this issue and empower our kids to stand strong. Let’s fight bullying and protect our children!”

In a separate post, Kurdi also addressed Ayesha and advised her to embrace her true self.
“As long as you’re not stepping on anyone’s toes, there’s no need to change your personality. We love you for exactly who you are, so don’t change for those who fail to appreciate you,” the actress wrote.

Ayesha is Kurdi’s eldest child with her husband Rey Soldevilla. Kurdi earlier spoke about Ayesha’s bullying experience, noting instances when the latter’s classmates “ganged up” on her and made an online hate group against her.
