MANILA — After their performance for birthday celebrant Kim Chiu on “It’s Showtime,” Bela Padilla, KaladKaren, and Lakam Chiu gave some sweet messages to the “Chinita Princess” on Saturday.

Padilla revealed that she became close with Chiu when they gatecrashed a birthday party together in 2017.

She said she’s always been proud of how Chiu handles being open and caring to the public.

“Kasi madalas sa mga artista ‘di ba we try to keep a part of our lives private. Pero si Kim shine-share niya buong buhay niya sa fans niya, sa audience niya. So napa-proud ako kasi mahirap ‘yun ah, mahirap ‘yung araw-araw you’re always on,” Padilla expressed. “She’s very thoughtful, kapag may kaaway ka, kahit ‘di niya kaaway, kaaway niya na rin!”

Chiu joked that her irritation towards her friends’ enemies stays longer than the latter’s.

Meanwhile, KaladKaren praised Chiu’s positivity over the two years that they have been friends.

“Punong-puno siya ng good vibes. She always sees situations with a silver lining. Parang kahit late na late na ‘yung taping namin, parang [sinasabi niya] “hindi sis kaya natin natapusin ‘yan, masaya tayo”. Siya ‘yung nagbibigay-saya sa trabahong ginagawa namin,” she said.

Padilla and KaladKaren also poked fun at Chiu’s love life, repeatedly mentioning that the latter is “happy” in the present and they’re hoping for Chiu to try loving someone again.

Chiu’s ever-supportive sister emotionally complimented her big heart and told the actress that words fall short of letting her know how much she loves her.

“It’s Showtime” hosts also showered Chiu with sweet birthday messages — from retelling their past experiences with her — to promising that they will still stay by her side.
