Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards recently opened up about their views on second chances and their relationship status as they reunite for the highly anticipated movie “Hello, Love, Again.” This sequel to the 2019 hit “Hello, Love, Goodbye” was partially filmed in Canada and is set to premiere worldwide on November 15.

During a press conference at the Dolphy Theater in Quezon City, the pair expressed their excitement about the new film. Alden shared how much both of them have grown since the first movie and emphasized how blessed they feel to be part of this sequel. Kathryn echoed his sentiments, highlighting their journey from acquaintances to close friends.

Reflecting on their first meeting, Alden recalled their initial encounters at events where they exchanged simple greetings. He noted that their friendship deepened during the production of “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and continued to grow even after the pandemic. Alden praised Kathryn for her maturity, approachability, and shared love for food, which became a bonding point for them on set.

Kathryn fondly remembered their first formal introduction and described Alden as approachable and easy to talk to. She admitted that their friendship took time to build, but it has since developed into a solid foundation of trust and openness.

When asked about second chances, both stars offered thoughtful insights. Alden emphasized forgiveness, citing how even God forgives, and noted that while some people forgive and move on, others may never forget. Kathryn acknowledged that everyone makes mistakes and highlighted the importance of being given the chance to correct wrongdoings and rebuild relationships. She described forgiveness and second chances as privileges rather than obligations.

Their bond, strengthened over more than five years, was put to the test when they were asked to rate their friendship. Alden confidently gave it a 100 percent, while Kathryn humorously settled at 87 percent.

Produced by ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and GMA Pictures, “Hello, Love, Again” is directed by Cathy Garcia Sampana and promises to capture audiences once more with its heartfelt story of love and growth.
