Actor Derek Ramsay lambasted Andi Eigenmann and her partner Philmar Alipayo after their common friend, foreigner Pernilla Sjoo, was dragged into their controversial rift.

In the latest vlog of Ogie Diaz, Ramsay defended Sjoo, who is now the target of bashers and has even received threats after she became involved in Eigenmann and Alipayo’s spat.

“Ang mali dito is irresponsible posting, acting on emotions without thinking. Just jumping the gut. Sorry Andi, I’m sorry. For me, you should haven’t done that. Kung galit ka naiintindihan ko ‘yon, nasa kultura ng Filipino ‘yon. Mali na nagpa-tattoo sila together. Mali. She’s a foreigner, she didn’t do it with intent to hurt Andi. She didn’t do it with the intent to steal which is now the chismis, ‘di ba? May inaagaw,” Ramsay said.

“Pati nga ako sinasabihan ngayon, nadamay na kami ni Ellen (Adarna), na ‘Ellen, mag-ingat ka, aagawin si Derek.’ So doon magsasalita na talaga ako.

“Andi, mali ka. Babae ka, hindi kita aawayin, may respeto ako, pero magsasalita talaga ako dahil mali ‘yon. Kung mali ka, magalit ka, may karapatan kang magalit harapin mo. .. Ang unang ayusin mo ‘yung partner mo ‘yan si Philmar, ayusin mo ‘yon, ‘wag mong ilagay sa publiko,” he continued.

“Ang nakakainis pa rito nag-comment na finally, nag-statement na finally si Philmar and what does he say? ‘Okay na kami. This should have been handled in private. Sana okay na rin kayo.’ Hindi, ako okay, kasama kami sa kayo. Kasi ‘yung kaibigan ko, na kaibigan mo rin na matalik, sinaktan mo. Hindi ka man lang mag-apologize, pero inaamin mo sa statement mo na mali niya. This should have been handled in private. So why don’t you show some decency and show some respect to Pernilla and clear her name,” Ramsay said.

Eigenmann and Alipayo recently made headlines after the two posted a series of cryptic stories that have given rise to speculations of cheating.

One story that caught social media users’ attention was her conversation with an AI chatbot asking if it is suspicious “when a friend invites your life partner to get love couples tattoo without even filling you or consulting you?”

This was when fans easily spotted Alipayo and Sjoo’s photo showing they both have a “224” tattoo design.

In another set of Instagram stories, Eigenmann explained that Sjoo supposedly “betrayed” her and even “encouraged [her] husband to break up with [her]” whenever they fight.

“She didn’t honor my side by choosing to celebrate her and my husband’s love for each other because the day after our fight, she inserted herself in the situation by encouraging him to go for a spontaneous love couple tattoo together,” Eigenmann said.

While clarifying that Alipayo did not cheat on her because she would always be there when her husband was with Sjoo, the actress mentioned that Alipayo’s action still hurt her.

According to Ramsay, Pernilla was wrong in getting the tattoo and felt sorry about it. He also said that the tattoo has a meaning of friendship, stressing that Sjoo and Alipayo are long-time friends.

“Pernilla feels bad about the tattoo thing and she reached out, she did. She reached out to apologize for that but what’s the chismis that’s going around na inagaw na ganito but then there’s follow up by Andi saying that there’s no cheating, it was betrayal. Fine if you feel betrayed kasi may pinagsamahan din kayo ni Pern, then handle it with Pernilla face-to-face. ‘Why did you do this? You hurt me.’ Agree ako sa kanya, but to post it and not say anything and then now okay na kayo may videos that they are having dinner as if nothing happened — ano ‘yon? Meanwhile this poor lady is hiding, afraid for her life because she’s getting threats, afraid for her family who lives abroad,” Ramsay said.

Ramsay stressed that while Eiegenmann and Alipayo are now doing fine, Pernilla is crying out every day, stressing that her mental health has been affected.

Ramsay said that as a friend he had to speak up for Sjoo, who’s being disrespected. He also said that Sjoo’s boyfriend, who’s also from Siargao, is likewise hurting.

“It’s irresponsible posting. Don’t act on emotion, think before you speak or act, because the repercussions can be so big. I’m not trying to cause a fight between me, my family, Andi and Philmar. Nandoon ako sa tama at sa mali which Philmar, excuse me for using this term, would have the balls to be a man. Magpakalalaki ka. Ayusin mo ang problema mo sa asawa mo, tama ka diyan. Pero huwag mong bastusin ‘yung tao na tumulong sa iyo sa lahat ng problema mo. Ipagtanggol mo ‘yung tao,” Ramsay said.

“Again, hindi kita kaaway Andi. Hindi kita kaaway Philmar. Ang inaano ko lang mali ang ginawa niyo. Andi, you should have not posted and said what you said, you should have handled that in private. Philmar the problem, you got a tattoo with Pern that’s 80% your fault. And for you not to have the balls to stand up and say this is all on me. Unahin mo ang asawa mo, I wronged my wife, unahin mo ang asawa mo and I wronged my friend. Own it and then maybe I have some \respect for you,” Ramsay said.

In May 2024, Alipayo was also caught in a controversy after being seen in a video with another woman. Eigenmann explained then that her partner can “chat with whoever he wants.”
