Ice Seguerra Shares Traumatic Experience With a Priest

Renowned singer-songwriter Ice Seguerra shared her experience with a priest who caused her great trauma.

This is also the reason why she is no longer religious. However, Ice Seguerra insisted that she still believes in God but not in religions that only judge them.

In a recent episode of the program Roundtable With Roby on One News PH, Ice Segurra identified her unforgettable experience when she once went to a church with her then-wife, Liza Dino.

According to Ice Seguerra, she will never forget the time she and her wife, Liza, went to church after they got married.

However, what she didn’t expect was that the priest made them give a homily at his table.

They allegedly made the topic of their own marriage and how they became sinners because of choosing to be with the same sex as life partners.

Ice Seguerra allegedly did not know if the priest knew they were there at that time so he showed them how sinful they were or if he did not know they were there so he made them the topic and example.

“I was a little traumatized, I was in church. Because I remember when we got married, we went to Liza’s church. We did a homily. They talked about us. You know, getting married and how it’s a sin and everything. while we’re there.”

“I don’t know if it’s better that they know we’re there so they’re talking about it. Or they don’t know that we’re there and we’re really talking about it. But either way, I’d rather be parked… It’s like Do I even have to be in an institution so that I could say that you know, I have a god or that God loves me and I love God? It should be, for me ah… It should be a personal relationship,” Ice Seguerra said.

Ice Seguerra’s revelations immediately garnered various reactions and comments from netizens, with some sympathizing but it can’t be denied that many also agreed with the priest.

“Even when explaining, your struggles are serious! That’s how it is. Even you and Aiza have a hard time justifying your relationship… because you know something is wrong!”
