President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is unbothered with the ”It’s Showtime” contestant who went viral for admitting she was unaware of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) as the administration has measures in improving the country’s education system.

At a press conference, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro was asked if Malacañang was bothered with the matter and if the government intends to do something about it.

In response, Castro said this does not reflect if the administration indeed has lapses in elevating the quality of the education sector.

(In the way we view this situation, the incapability of a certain individual does not reflect the supposed lapses of the government in improving the quality of education.)

”Kung may pagkakamali or pagkukulang ang isa ay maaari naman niyang i-level up iyong kaniyang sarili lalung-lalo na marami na po tayong mapag-aaralan through internet, using Google search, and lahat ng maaari nating i-search using the computer system,” she added.

(If a certain person has mistakes, he/she can improve himself/herself through the use of internet, Google search and other search engines using our computer system.)

(The President is not bothered by this because we are doing everything to improve the level of our education.)

The Palace official also said it would be better if students will also strive harder in their studies.

Heart Aquino, ‘It’s Showtime’ contestant, visited the poll body’s headquarters in Intramuros, Manila, on Tuesday.

Aquino arrived past noon and was given a tour by Comelec officials, according to GMA Integrated News’ Sandra Aguinaldo.

The 20-year-old contestant went viral after admitting she had “limited” knowledge of the poll body and was not registered to vote.

Meanwhile, asked about the K to 12 program, Castro said it is better this will be studied further to determine its impact on students.

(Since the K to 12 program is here, it’s better to study it to determine its effects. It will be studied if it really does not benefit students.)
