GMA Gala Scandal: Sandro Muhlach files complaint against ‘independent contractors’; network vows fairness in ongoing investigation

Sparkle artist Sandro Muhlach has lodged a formal complaint against two independent contractors affiliated with GMA Network Inc., according to the country’s leading media outlet.

In a statement released Thursday, the Kapuso network, chaired by Felipe Gozon, confirmed receiving the complaint from Muhlach concerning Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.

“Recognizing the seriousness of the alleged incident, GMA Network had already initiated its own investigation even before receiving the formal complaint,” the statement said.

“Respecting Sandro’s request for confidentiality, the investigating body will withhold all details of the formal investigation until its conclusion,” the network added.

GMA management has pledged to maintain high standards of fairness and transparency throughout the investigation.

“The Network assures the public and all stakeholders of its dedication to conducting this investigation with the utmost fairness and impartiality,” GMA said.

Details remain sparse, but online chatter and news articles have reported allegations of abuse involving a young actor and the network’s consultants, which reportedly occurred after GMA’s high-profile Gala on July 20 at Marriott Manila.
