MANILA — “Finally may poster na kami!” said Kim Chiu when ABS-CBN News caught up with her and Paulo Avelino for the pictorial of their upcoming movie “My Love Will Make You Disappear.”

The A-list actors expressed excitement for their very first movie together.

“It’s a date. Sana samahan nila kami. After all the successful blockbuster films ng Star Cinema, kami ‘yung next. So praying and hoping na samahan kami ng madlang pipol,” said Chiu.

Meanwhile, Avelino wishes their movie will be part of everyone’s Valentine’s celebration. “Sana rin ‘yung mga lalabas for Valentine’s Day, isama ‘yung aming pelikula,” he said.

He also understands the thirst of their millions of KimPau fans worldwide, for their upcoming project.

“Last year pa namin ina-announce ito, hanggang ngayon ginagawa pa rin namin. So I’m sure umaabot na sa rurok ‘yung excitement ng mga nag-aabang since day one,” Avelino said.

A teaser trailer of the movie has been released last month. In fact, if you’ve seen the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “And the Breadwinner is…,” you’ve probably seen the KimPau teaser that actually didn’t say much about how the story would go.

“Wala pang narrative, wala pang istorya,” said Avelino.

“Umulan, nung nagkita tumigil ‘yung ulan. Pero thankful kami kasi nagets na nila na may K-drama vibes,” added Chiu.

We asked Avelino to describe the vibe on the set. “Very relaxed ‘yung vibe sa set namin. ‘Yung term ni Kimmy dito, ‘happy set’ siya. May delays lang dahil patuloy naming pinapaganda ‘yung mga eksena at mga ibang parts ng pelikula, everything’s going well.”

“May mga na-post na kasama, pero magugulat din sila sa mga special guests. Ikakagulat nila for sure,” he added.
