She was freed after posting bail and pleading that she was not guilty of SEC violations. To recall, the Pasay RTC issued an arrest warrant against Quinto last year for cases filed by investors of the skincare company Dermacare.

Regarding the issues surrounding her marriage with Trevor Magallanes, she confirmed that they have separated and she’s waiting to talk to her husband to clear things out. They are going through something but when it comes to legal matters, no one has filed a divorce yet.

Rufa also has no plans to file for divorce.

However, behind these stories, she also suffered other things. Last year, she accordingly passed out. This accident happened before she returned to the Philippines and it felt like she would die. She fought back and tried hard to be conscious and to live because of her daughter.

“Nahimatay ako. Muntik na along mabagok. Kaya sabi ko kaysa mamatay ako, gumising ako kasi yung anak ko,” she shared. During that time, she also restricted herself from eating. Hunger and heavy emotions led to the accident that almost cost her her life.
