Actress Ivana Alawi recently went through a health condition that led to an emergency.



In her vlog titled “HOSPITAL,” she opened up about her health and had a disclaimer in the beginning of her video.

“‘Yung kikitain nitong vlog, will be donated to a national hospital pambayad ng bills ng mga hindi nila kaya.

“Ipapakita ko sa inyo ang isa sa pinakamahirap na journey ko sa buong buhay ko. Sa lahat ng dinanas ko sa buhay. Isa ito sa mga pinakamatindi na pain [na naranasan ko], feeling ko nagpaalam pa nga ako sa mama ko.”

She further stressed about her ordeal, “Feeling ko talaga, it’s really my second life. ‘Yung first three days hindi ko na vinideo. I spent seven days in the hospital.”

Ivana revealed a problem with her ovaries led to fluid build-up in her abdomen.

“Meron akong problem sa ovaries, and that’s how it started. I also have PCOS.

She also encouraged everyone to take care of their health and to have to see a doctor when they feel sick.

“Guys, kung may maramdaman kayon sakit, magpacheck kayo agad. Huwag niyo hintayin lumala.

“Siguro kung hindi ako pumunta ng ospital, wala na talaga ako.

“I also got fluid in my stomach, na sobrang napuno na siya. Day by day sa ospital umaangat ‘yung fluid sa tiyan ko. Hindi ako buntis.

“‘Yung sakit, hindi na ako makahinga, konting lakad ko lang parang hihimatayin na ako, nanlalamig na buong body ko.

“I wasn’t scared, I was just thinking, paano na kaya ‘yung family ko.

“Feeling ko, kada hinga ko para akong nalulunod. ‘Tapos, sumisigaw na ako na, ‘Guys, hindi ko na kaya.’ I felt like the liquid was getting to my lungs.

Ivana detailed the process of removing the fluid in her abdomen, “They put a drain into my tummy. Hindi ako pinatulog.

“Meron na daw two liters, pinu-push na raw ‘yung lungs ko.

“Every eight hours, they started to drain, and I started to feel better.

She recalled how difficult her first three days in the hospital were, and how she only got to vlog on her fourth day onward.

“Masaya na ako nung nakatayo na ako kasi three days akong nakahiga as in walang tayuan. ‘Yung bladder ko wala na lumalabas na ihi ang ‘yung heart ko masyado na mabilis ‘yung tibok. Hindi rin ako maka-poops.

“Dun na ako nag-video nung na-okay na ako.

Complications

Ivana said she feared for her life when she could no longer walk and had difficulty breathing. Doctors later concluded the two-liter fluid in her abdomen was pushing against her lungs. The fluid had to be removed in eight-hour intervals to not strain her lungs.

Donation

Ivana asked her viewers not to skip that ads on her vlog since its revenue will be donated to a hospital for patients who could not pay their medical fees.

Tough time

Ivana said her recent health condition was one of the most painful things she has ever been through.

Ivana spent six days in the hospital, the first three she was bed-ridden and could not pee on her own.
