Rufa Mae visited Willie’s show just recently after she was able to deal with the case filed against her. Amid the legal battle that she encountered, the public was amused with her positive disposition.

When she guested on Wil To Win, the comedienne received a blessing from Willie Revillame. The veteran TV host gifted Rufa Mae with a million pesos.

In a recent episode of Showbiz Now Na, the YouTube talk show of veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin with her co-host Romel Chika, they talked about the veteran TV host, based on the article in Balita.

It said that there were negative reactions to the generosity that Willie displayed on air and these came from people close to him. Apparently, these people were questioning why that amount was given to the comedienne that easily when they had to work hard before they would receive that.

“May pangit na epekto sa mga malalapit sa kanila […] kasi nagtaas ang kilay ng iba. Na parang ‘bakit siya binigyan ng one million? Alam namin nangangailangan si Rufa Mae pero bakit si Rufa Mae na ‘di naman niya nakakasama, kami itong kasama niya sa trabaho at nagpapakahirap. Parang wala kaming natanggap na ganyan.’ Kung mayro’n man, pahirapan pa raw,” Romel Chika said.

Cristy Fermin added that some comments surface that Willie did that knowing that Rufa Mae can help him with his political stint. “Saka ‘yong bashing kay Willie ‘di ba nakalagay, ‘E, kasi pakikinabangan mo sa kampanya,” the veteran showbiz insider said.

Prior to this display of generosity, the veteran TV host donated P3 million to former VP Leni Robredo’s organization for the Tropical Storm Kristine victims. He also went to Talisay, Batangas to personally donate to the victims of the typhoon.

Willie Revillame was one of the celebrities who filed their certificate of candidacy last October for the 2025 elections. However, he was criticized when he was asked about his political plans. He said that he has no plan yet because he is still a candidate and has not won yet.
