“Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11” Big Winner Sofia “Fyang” Smith is unbothered when it comes to dealing with bashers and negative comments, as she pointed out that being an influencer helped her handle them more positively.

Smith said she’s used to dealing with bashers when asked how she handles negative comments amid her newfound fame, on the sidelines of Love Kryzl’s Christmas party in Quezon City.

“Manhid na. Even before [‘Pinoy Big Brother’], noong influencer pa ako, naranasan ko na. And lahat ng mga ‘yun, hindi totoo. Hindi ako nasasaktan. And ‘yung mga sinasabi sa’king [negative comments] are very light,” she said.

(I am numb. Even before joining “Pinoy Big Brother” and when I was still an influencer, I experienced dealing with bashers already. Those are not true. I don’t feel hurt. And for me, those negative comments are very light.)

As the winner of “Pinoy Big Brother’s” recent season, Smith found herself being compared with her fellow housemates and past Big Winners. But she reiterated that she doesn’t mind them.

“Wala (nothing),” she said when asked how she felts about the comparisons. “We know each other, especially sa mga kapwa kong housemates. We’re all friends and kapag may naririnig kaming gan’ung comments, like ‘Okay?’ We’re close friends and we all know each other. And hindi totoo ‘yun.”

Smith, however, said that she won’t hesitate to clap back if her family, especially her mother, would be on the brunt of negative comments as well.

“Siguro if it’s about my family na, especially my mom na. If it’s about her, bahala na talaga (I guess when it’s about my family, especially my mom. If it’s about her, I don’t care who I’ll clash with),” she said.

Smith was named the Big Winner of “Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11” in October 2024. Her prizes included a trip package for two in South Korea, a free month LazAffliates ambassador contract worth P400,000, a brand-new house and lot, and P1 million.

Following behind were Rain Celmar, Kolette Madelo and Kai Montinola, who earned the second, third and fourth ranks, respectively.
