Kris Aquino is grateful to her son Bimb, who prevented her head from slamming into a marble wall after losing her balance in the bathroom as she was experiencing weakness in her left knee.

Aquino’s recent health update was disclosed by her close friend and writer-editor Dindo Balares on his Instagram account on Thursday, February 6, where the Queen of All Media described Bimb as her “hero.”

The post included photos of the actress-host, who is still dealing with allergens in her body, seemingly an effect of her autoimmune diseases.

“‘Kuya Dindo, I lost my balance sa bathroom — tumama my elbow and knee. Parang biglang nanghina my left knee so I hit the marble wall,’” Aquino recalled to Balares, per his post.

“Praise God when I shouted ‘Bimb,’ he jumped from the bed and daig [nya] ang action stars kasi [sya] less than 5 seconds from when I shouted, he was there – na prevent [nya] my head slamming into the marble wall. Bimb is my hero,” she continued.

Balares also shared that despite Aquino’s struggle with “severe body faiths,” her faith never wavered, and the latter remained hopeful about her recovery.

“Lagi siyang may struggles sa kalusugan, at iniiyakan ang kanyang severe body pains. Ang labis kong hinahangaan kay Kris, ang kanyang faith na hindi natitinag… ‘Pangit my (latest) blood test results. More prayers.’ Mahaba pa, pero tuloy ang laban,” Balares said.

(She is always going through a health struggle, and she cries over her severe body pains. But what I admire the most about Kris is that her faith never wavered. “My latest blood results are ugly. More prayers.” The battle is long, but the fight continues.)

Despite this, the writer-editor said Aquino has been sleeping well and is slowly regaining her strength.

“Ilang weeks nang laging mahaba at masarap ang kanyang tulog. Unti-unti nang nababawi ang kanyang lakas. Pero dapat pa ring maghinay-hinay lalo na sa paglalakad na walang nakaalalay. Lagi’t lagi, walang hanggang pasasalamat po sa mga nangungumusta at nagdarasal para sa tuluyang paggaling ni Krissy,” he said.

(Kris’ sleep has been longer and better for weeks. She is slowly regaining her strength. But she needs to tone down especially when she goes on walks without a companion. I’m always grateful to those who ask how Kris is doing, and to those who pray for her recovery.)

Aquino revealed she was in isolation due to her worsening immunity in November 2024, which led to Balares denying the allegations of her supposed death a month later.

The writer-editor also reiterated on multiple occasions that the actress-host is determined to recover for her sons Josh and Bimby.
