MANILA  —  Veteran actress Lotlot de Leon, the mother of actress Janine Gutierrez, has expressed her comments on the issue linking her daughter to actor Jericho Rosales.>

This was after Rosales and Gutierrez had seen several times in public together and will soon be part of the upcoming Kapamilya series “Lavender Fields.”

In an interview, De Leon confirmed that her daughter and Rosales are always hanging out together and she doesn’t see anything wrong with it.

“Well, they’re both single, so nakikita ko nga na they’re always together. That’s good if they’re trying to get to know each other. There’s nothing wrong with that, they’re both single, they’re both adults, they’re both mature individuals. So yeah, there’s really nothing wrong with it,” de Leon said in an interview.

According to the veteran actress, she also believes that Rosales is a kind and responsible person as described by their colleagues.

“I know that he’s also maalaga, maasikaso, mapagmahal sa pamilya, he’s very family-oriented, and he’s a very responsible guy. So, yeah, that’s how I know him, that’s what I know of him also,” De Leon said.

Asked if the day has come for Rosales to ask permission to court her daughter, De Leon entrusts the decision to her Gutierrez.

“That’s not up to me, but thank you for asking permission. ‘Di ba, nakakatuwa na parang humingi ng paalam or mag-abiso, hindi ba? Nakakatuwa yun, so if eventually they are really dating, then I trust Janine, I trust her decision,”  she said.
